In My Haven: January 27
This week in my haven I've been working on a pattern redesign that I've had in mind for awhile—Huggables! In case you're not familiar, Huggables are little doll-shaped pillows that are appliquéd to look like an adorable kid. I hadn't made one for quite awhile until I had an order before Christmas, which really inspired me to work on this design again. My hope is to expand the number of Huggable kid designs that I have available and make them easier to order, while still offering customized options. I also think other sewing enthusiasts will enjoy making these as much as I do, so I'm making the patterns available too. Go head and click over to the shop or read the rest of this post to see what these two new Huggable kids look like!

More From My Haven
Since life isn't all business, here’s a little more about what’s happening in my haven this week.
What I'm Cooking: In my search for a quick, easy, not too sugary dessert this week, I took some dates, dipped them in melted chocolate chips, and sprinkled them with pecans and salt. They tasted like a healthier version of a pecan turtle candy!
What I'm Reading: I started reading Olga Dies Dreaming (Xóchitl González) and I'm really enjoying the story so far. I am very curious about what Olga is going to learn about herself throughout the novel.
What Joanna is Reading: We have continued reading A Tale of Magic (Chris Colfer) and Joanna is really into it. She really sympathizes with the main character, Brystal, who is an avid reader.
What's happening in your haven this week?
Warmly,
Beth
