In My Haven: March 24
This week in my haven I've been thinking a lot about how to get my momentum back. I know it's natural for business to ebb and flow throughout the year, but I also want to be sure I'm doing all I can to keep Haven Handmade growing. I have lots of ideas for how to kick start a more productive season, but the difficulty is deciding which to pursue. It can be so hard to know which opportunities will pan out. Anyway, I do know that word of mouth is always a sure way to learn about great products and services. If you know of someone who needs a special gift or who you just think would just love the style of my free motion appliquéd designs, please do share my info with them! Those personal recommendations are so appreciated, and are an easy (not to mention free) way to help support small businesses like mine. As a little token of my appreciation for helping to spread the word, use the code MARCHFORWARD to get free shipping on your order through the end of the month. And don't forget to share that code with your friends and family!

More From My Haven
Since life isn't all business, here’s a little more about what’s happening in my haven this week.
What I'm Cooking: Chicken Adobo, served with rice and broccoli, was my favorite dinner of the week. I hope you enjoy this recipe as much as we do!
What I'm Reading: I finished reading Olga Dies Dreaming (Xóchitl González), which turned out to be a really great story in which both of the main characters really grow through their experiences, even though it wasn't a quick read for me. I just started Where the Crawdads Sing (Delia Owens), and I think it's going to be more of a page turner.
What Joanna is Reading: After finishing A Tale of Magic (Chris Colfer), a fun and fantastical read with great themes around inclusion and identity, we started The Last Mapmaker (Christina Soontornvat). This book is full of adventure after just a few chapters!
What's happening in your haven this week?
Warmly,
Beth
